To celebrate Earth Day our 19 month old created this lovely paper towel art craft. Here’s how she did it:
Supplies:
- Paper towel
- Construction paper
- Blue bingo marker
- Green marker
- Spray bottle with water
- Tape
- Glue
- Scissors
I taped the paper towel to the table so that it would not move while she was creating. She drew onto the paper towel using a blue bingo marker and green marker. After she was done I sprayed the paper towel with water (just a few sprays was enough). Once the paper towel was dry I cut it into the shape of a circle. I then helped her to glue it to a piece of construction paper. I glued the words “Be Kind to Your Planet” from a coloring page I copied (you can do the same or use the marker to write the words).
It came out really well. It’s a great way for a younger toddler to participate in Earth Day.
