At our daycare we believe that Play rules! Children learn through play and I provide an abundant opportunity for them to do so. I offer a well rounded atmosphere where they can learn personal and social skills, language and literacy, math, science, art and physical education in fun and engaging ways. Currently our childrens ages range from infant to 6 years. Some activities are age specific but most are set up in a way to include all ages in whatever activity we are doing in a safe way.
6:30AM-9:00AM: Children arrive, settle in, nap (depending on age) and have breakfast
9:00AM-10:00AM: Bible time, story time, letter of the week, arts & crafts, music
10:00AM-10:30AM: Snack
10:30AM-11:45AM: Daily walk and outside play (weather permitting) or indoor free play
11:45AM-12:00PM: Clean up, prepare for lunch
12:00PM-12:45PM: Lunch
12:45PM-1:00PM: Clean up, prepare for nap
1:00PM-3:00PM: Nap
3:00OPM-3:30PM: Snack
3:30PM-5:00PM: Arts & crafts, puzzles, games, indoor free play or outdoor play (weather permitting), clean up
5:00PM-5:30PM: Quiet free play, children prepare to go home
5:30PM: Closing time
Most of our children are potty trained so they have potty time when duty calls instead of a specific time for it. Children who are not potty trained get diaper changes when needed instead of on a schedule as well. We have tried scheduled times in the past but with our small group we find that this works best.
Our children love to sing and dance. Gospel, Christian, Classical and traditional childrens songs are played throughout the day as the children play. Musical instruments are accessible to the children throughout the day for when they feel inspired.
